In terms of AMD, can a relatively low sensitivity LF driver in an enclosure designed with the correct amount of acoustical damping perform as well as a high sensitivity driver in the appropriate cab for it?
No doubt the low efficiency driver will require an order of magnitude more power to produce the same SPL to overcome enclosure damping and cone mass. I’m sure there are other deficiencies to consider as well.
Surprisingly I don’t notice my 411B cones moving when they’re playing the lower octaves. Good to know that the absence of cone movement can be a good thing
